F. Michael Babineaux is a consultant, professional development specialist, and subject matter expert who focuses on Purchasing and Supply Management training, education, certification training, and consulting services. 

Currently serving as an Executive Consultant with CATTAN, Mike previously earned his BS with majors in Marketing, Economics, and Accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University, after which he entered the US Air Force, where he received his formal training in Procurement.  Mr. Babineaux has also guest lectured at universities and has been a guest speaker at purchasing and other professional association meetings.

Mike Babineaux was the first Buyer Federal Express hired when it started operations in Memphis,Tennessee.  Beginning with the purchasing of aviation parts and supplies and then moving on to high-level negotiations for the company's major acquisitions, Mike held many of the critical buying and management positions in the FedEx Procurement function during his 30 year career.

In his most recent position at FedEx, he was as a Senior Business Specialist of Supply Chain Management in FedEx’s Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain Management division.  He specialized in advanced supply management practices and techniques.  In addition, Mike was responsible for design and delivery of professional development programs to over 100 buyers and others at FedEx who had a need or desire to learn more about its purchasing practices and techniques.
